When I first started mandala painting I started using only dots and maybe a few swooshes here and there. As I've progressed in my mandala painting journey I have found so much joy in incorporating brushstrokes into my artwork. I will admit, my first brushstrokes weren't pleasant, but with time and lots of practice I have been able to perfect them! It is my hope that I will be able to take the fear and intimidation out of the brushstroke process and provide valuable tools to help artist hone their skills. These are practice sheets with some of my favorite brushstroke patterns that can be printed and used as practice sheets.
